NNU Finances

Unions are by no means simple organizations. The NNU is a big business, surviving on the dues of its hard-working members. The NNU is required each year to file a document called an "LM-2" which reports the union's most recent financial flow.

See the latest NNU LM-2 report.

In 2019, NNU reported that the union collected more than $15.1 million in cash receipts.Yet the Union spent more than $13.3 million.

That's right, the NNU somehow managed to pay out 88% of the money it collected.

NNU: $15+ Million - MEMBERS: ???

The NNU collected more than $15 million but, how much did the Union spend on behalf of individual members? Well, according to the latest LM-2, NNU responded to this item as follows:

$1,376 divided by 130,515 members is just $0.01 per member.

So, where is the money going?

A chunk of the money is paying top union official salaries and costly operating expenses. NNU paid over $2 million for the combined salaries and expenses of its officers and employees.

Total Disbursements to NNU Officials: $5,090,814
